It is not about making things look good to satisfy government regulations. It is not about “fixing” whites, males, strength guts, gays, or anyone else. And it is not about superimposing one group’s agenda on another’s.
DE&I work is about building authentic relationships; about working together; about recognizing what is the same, and valuing what is different. It is about engaging in learning about ourselves by learning about others. It is about inclusion; about reaping the creativity that comes from diverse backgrounds.
And lastly, it is about unleashing the energy, creativity and joy that lies hidden behind self-limiting walls of fear.
